Description
Apex Heavy-Duty Pallet Racking
1100mm x 5m - UK12 - Used, Good Condition
Mid-height industrial pallet racking from Apex, one of the UK's most trusted racking brands. Sold by the bay with everything you need to build a complete frame-and-beam run. Configure your beam size, beam levels and run length below — pricing updates automatically.
This stock is used but in good working condition — fully serviceable, structurally sound, and ready to go straight back into use at a fraction of the price of new. Suitable for full pallet storage in warehouse, distribution and industrial environments.
Lead time: 2 weeks from order placed
All orders are despatched within 2 weeks of order confirmation. Please factor this into your project timeline — racking is prepared, inspected and palletised to order. If you have a tight deadline or need stock sooner, contact us before ordering and we'll let you know what's possible.
Please note: timber decks are not included with this listing. They can be purchased separately as an optional add-on — see details below.
Load capacity
- 8,200kg total weight limit per bay (UDL — Uniformly Distributed Load)
- Rating based on first beam level set at 2m from floor
- Lower the first beam → capacity increases
- Raise the first beam → capacity reduces
This is standard pallet-racking behaviour: the lower the bottom beam pair, the shorter the unsupported upright span, and the higher the bay's working load. If your application requires a non-standard first-beam height, contact us before ordering and we'll confirm the working capacity for your configuration.
Frame depth: 1100mm
These frames are 1100mm deep, suitable for standard UK pallets (1200×1000mm) loaded depth-out and Euro pallets (1200×800mm) loaded either way. The 1100mm depth provides good front-and-back clearance for forklift placement.
Choose your configuration
- Beam Size — 2800mm × 100mm × 50mm or 2.3m × 100mm × 50mm
- Beam Levels — 3, 4 or 5 levels per bay
- Run Size — from 1 bay up to 10 bays in a single continuous run
What's included per bay
- 2 × 5m UK12 frames at 1100mm depth (or shared frames for runs of 2+ bays — see run size maths below)
- Beams: 3 levels = 6 beams · 4 levels = 8 beams · 5 levels = 10 beams (2 beams per level)
- All necessary frame-to-beam connectors and lock pins
- Timber decks are NOT included — available to buy separately
About the UK12 frames
The 5m UK12 is one of Apex's mid-duty frame series — a single-piece upright (no splicing required), making it quick to install and well-suited to lighter-load warehouse, workshop and distribution applications. UK12 is widely used across the UK where a 5m clear height is needed for medium-weight pallet storage. For heavier loads at the same height, see our UK20 listing.
How run sizing works
Pallet racking shares frames between adjacent bays, so a longer run uses fewer frames per bay overall. The formula is simple:
- Run of 1 bay = 2 frames
- Run of 2 bays = 3 frames
- Run of N bays = N + 1 frames
A run of 10 bays, for example, comes with 11 frames and all beams included.
Slotted timber decking — sold separately
This listing covers the frames and beams only. Decks are not included. Slotted timber boards are available as an optional add-on, sized to fit your chosen beam length. Most customers add one set of boards per beam level. Please see our Pallet Racking Decking listing or contact us for a quote alongside your order.
Condition
Used Apex stock, inspected before despatch. Expect light cosmetic marks consistent with previous warehouse use — scuffs, paint wear, and minor surface marking. All components are checked for structural integrity; anything bent, cracked or compromised is rejected from sale. Any significant marks will be photographed and disclosed before despatch.
